Hello everyone! The 2025 spring/vernal equinox Golden Labyrinth Hike will take place Saturday, March 22th. Yes, it’s two days after the actual equinox, but who has time to go hiking on a Thursday?

When to be:

  • Saturday, March 22, 2025
  • 5:15 pm: Meet at Five Suns Brewing in Martinez
  • 6:00 pm: Depart for Golden Labyrinth
  • 7:23 pm: Sunset and hike back to downtown

What to expect:

  • A moderately strenuous 1.7 mile hike uphill, 1.7 back down, making 3.4 miles total with a 750 foot elevation change.
  • There are no bathrooms once we leave downtown.
  • Good conversation, bad jokes, great views…and champagne!

What to wear:

  • Dress in layers. You will start out hot, then be very cold. Prepare for rain/sleet/hail.
  • Active footwear. Running/walking shoes are fine, though a hiking boot is ideal. It can be muddy in winter & spring, dusty in summer & fall.

Where to walk:

No problem if you’re a little late, just follow the route map and meet us at the top by sunset. Please share with whomever you think might want to join us.
